Privacy policy
We kept this short because the product collects very little.
Last updated: August 5, 2026
Receipt Canvas (“we”, “us”) provides a free online receipt generator at www.receiptcanvas.com. This policy explains what we collect and what we do not.
The receipts you create
Your receipt is built and rendered in your browser. The store name, line items, totals, payment details, and any logo you upload stay on your device. We do not send that content to our servers or store it, and we cannot see your receipts.
Analytics
We use Simple Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages are popular. It is a privacy-friendly service that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data or build a profile of you. It records aggregate information such as page views, referrer, country, and browser type.
The AI editing feature
If you use the AI Chat tab to edit a receipt, the current receipt draft and your instruction are sent to our server and then to OpenAI, which returns the updated draft. That processing is subject to OpenAI’s own policies. If you do not use that feature, nothing is sent.
Cookies
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser may keep small amounts of data locally to keep the editor working, but that stays on your device.
Accounts
You can use the whole product without an account. If we add accounts later, we will update this policy first.
Data retention
Because we do not store your receipts, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Aggregate analytics are kept by Simple Analytics under their retention policy.
Children
Receipt Canvas is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
You can block analytics with any content blocker, and you can avoid the AI feature entirely. For any request about your data, email [email protected].
Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. The date at the top shows the last revision.
