These terms cover your use of Receipt Canvas at www.receiptcanvas.com. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What the Service Does

Receipt Canvas is a free tool for designing and exporting receipt images and PDFs. Everything renders in your browser. The service is provided as is and as available, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time without notice.

Acceptable Use

You may use Receipt Canvas to create receipts for real transactions you are part of, and to create receipt-shaped images for mockups, software testing, education, film and photo props, and other creative or professional work.

Prohibited Use

You may not use Receipt Canvas for any deceptive, fraudulent, or unlawful purpose. That includes, without limitation:

• presenting a generated receipt as proof of a purchase, refund, return, or expense that did not happen;
• submitting a generated receipt to an employer, insurer, tax authority, store, marketplace, or any other person or organization as a genuine record it is not;
• using a generated receipt to obtain money, goods, refunds, reimbursements, or any other benefit you are not entitled to;
• impersonating a business, or implying a business issued a document it did not issue.

Any of the above may be a crime in your jurisdiction, and each is a violation of these terms. We may refuse or terminate access for anyone we believe is misusing the service, and we may cooperate with law enforcement where required.

Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the receipts you create, the accuracy of their contents, and every use you make of them. Receipt Canvas is a formatting tool, like a word processor or an image editor. It does not verify what you type, and we accept no responsibility for the documents you produce with it or the consequences of using them.

Brand Names and Trademarks

Some templates and example pages reference real store names and layouts to illustrate what those stores’ receipts look like. All trademarks belong to their owners. Receipt Canvas is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of these brands, and nothing generated by the service is an official document of any brand.

Your Content

The receipts you make are yours. Because they are generated in your browser, we do not claim any rights to them and we do not store them.

No Warranty

The service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that exports will be perfect for every printer or that the site will always be available or error free.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Receipt Canvas and its operator are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service or from anything you create with it, including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, and special damages, and including any damages arising from another person’s reliance on a receipt you made. The service is free, and our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed zero dollars.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Receipt Canvas and its operator from any claim, loss, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, that arises from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or a document you created with the service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. The date at the top shows the last revision. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version.
