Anatomy
What Is on a Grailed Receipt
Grailed is a peer-to-peer marketplace for designer, streetwear, and vintage clothing, so a purchase record looks different from a store receipt. The order is built around a listing from one seller, identified by username, and the listing's details are what you bought: the designer, the item, the tagged size, and the condition the seller graded it. Grailed is free for buyers, so the only lines on top of the price are shipping, which the buyer pays when the seller ships with a Grailed Label, and state sales tax, which Grailed collects as the marketplace. The footer points to Purchase Protection, which has a short window to report a problem. The example is a used Engineered Garments jacket shipped to San Diego. Swap in your own piece, seller, and costs and it becomes a receipt you can print or save.

Lost receipt
Lost Your Grailed Receipt?
Grailed is an online marketplace, so there is no paper receipt. The record of a purchase is the confirmation email Grailed sends when the order goes through, and your purchase history stays in your Grailed account, private by default.
- 1Search your inbox, including spam and junk, for the Grailed confirmation email for the order. Grailed treats a purchase as complete once that confirmation arrives.
- 2If you paid with PayPal, open your PayPal activity for the separate PayPal receipt and its transaction ID.
- 3Sign in to Grailed and open your messages with the seller. Tracking for every purchase is posted there as well as by email.
- 4If you still cannot find the order, contact Grailed Support with the item, the seller's username, and the purchase date.
- 5If something is wrong with the item itself, report it to Grailed within 3 calendar days of receiving it to stay inside Purchase Protection.
Keeping it for taxes? The IRS suggests holding on to receipts and other records for three years from the date you file, and longer for some. Read the IRS recordkeeping guidance.

Grailed Receipt Questions
Does Grailed Send a Receipt After a Purchase?
Grailed sends a confirmation email when the purchase goes through, and if you pay with PayPal, PayPal sends its own receipt too. Once the item ships, tracking arrives by email and in your messages with the seller.
Why Is There No Buyer Fee on a Grailed Receipt?
Grailed is free for buyers. Sellers pay a commission and a payment processing fee out of the sale, so a buyer's receipt only adds shipping and any sales tax to the price.
Why Did Grailed Charge Me Sales Tax?
As the marketplace, Grailed is required to collect state sales tax in most US states and Washington, D.C. It is not a Grailed fee, and it does not apply in Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, or Oregon.
Can I Cancel a Grailed Order After Paying?
Not on your own. An accepted order or a binding offer cannot be canceled, but you can ask the seller about a refund before the item ships. If the seller does not add tracking and ship within 7 calendar days, the order is canceled and you are refunded.
Is This an Official Grailed Document?
