What Is on a Walgreens Receipt
What sets a Walgreens receipt apart is how it handles deals. Buy two tubes of toothpaste on a buy one get one free offer and the free tube prints with a negative BOGO line, then each tube gets a RETURN VALUE underneath that splits the price you paid between them, so returning one refunds half, not the shelf price. myWalgreens member prices show as savings under the item. Below the payment, the slip shows your masked myWalgreens account, the savings on the trip, and the Walgreens Cash rewards you earned, which run 1% on most eligible purchases and 5% on Walgreens brand products. The survey code and an RFN number above the barcode close it out. The example mirrors an Indianapolis store, where Indiana's flat 7% sales tax applies. How to Make a Walgreens Receipt

Start from this example so the store header, BOGO and RETURN VALUE lines, myWalgreens savings, and the Walgreens Cash footer are already laid out.

Enter Your Items and Deals
Type each item at its regular price. For a member price, add a myWalgreens SAVINGS line with a negative amount. For a BOGO deal, add the free item with a negative line that cancels its price.

Under each item in a deal, set RETURN VALUE to its share of what you paid, so a pair bought for 5.99 shows 3.00 and 2.99.

Walgreens saves receipts for myWalgreens members who turn on digital receipts, and keeps online orders in your Walgreens.com Purchase History. Without a receipt or order number, a return is subject to store management's approval and is refunded as a Walgreens gift card.

What Does RETURN VALUE Mean on a Walgreens Receipt?
It is the amount you would get back if you returned that item. When an item was part of a deal, such as buy one get one free, the price you paid is spread across the items in the deal, so each shows a return value below its shelf price. In the example, two tubes of toothpaste cost 5.99 together, so their return values are 3.00 and 2.99.
What Is the RFN Number on a Walgreens Receipt?
It is the reference number printed above the barcode at the bottom of the slip. If you have a question about the purchase, store staff can use it to find the transaction, so keep it with the receipt.
How Much Walgreens Cash Do I Earn on a Purchase?
myWalgreens members earn 1% in Walgreens Cash rewards on eligible purchases storewide, even at the pharmacy, and 5% on Walgreens brand products. The example earns 0.76: 1% on 26.47 of other brands plus 5% on a 9.99 bottle of Walgreens vitamins. Walgreens Cash is redeemed in set amounts starting at $1.
Can Walgreens Find a Receipt I Lost?
If you have myWalgreens digital receipts turned on, the receipt is already in the Walgreens app or your email. Online orders are in Purchase History on Walgreens.com, where you can print a copy or save it as a PDF. Without a receipt or order number, a return is up to store management and is refunded as a Walgreens gift card.
